Hello, this is Dr. Jae Seong Lee, associate professor of English Literature teaching Critical Theory at Pusan National University in Busan, South Korea. I am in charge of the “Philosophy and Literature” several sessions of the XXII World Congress of Philosophy which will be held at Seoul National University with a French speaking foreign professor. We are in the process of receiving and selecting papers for several sessions that we will preside.

I am writing to draw your attention to World Congress of Philosophy which is the world’s largest philosophy convention. WCP is like the Olympic Games in philosophy, but it is held every five years. There will be a number of world famous thinkers presenting in the plenary sessions. You are welcome to submit your papers. I first wanted to email as many excellent scholars as I could to have best kind of papers, but I could not fit that plan into my extremely tight schedule. I not only research and teach but work as Director of the International Exchange Center of Pusan National University. However, after I have received some papers mainly from European countries I wrote a message and let WCP head office workers email the chairs of the Departments of English in the United States. I also wish to receive papers from Korean professors.

From my own experience of presenting my papers and attending other professors’ presentations at many conferences held in the States and Korea, I am convinced I can receive choicest papers from American and Korean scholars. Please take part in WCP with me. 세계철학대회(철학과 문학)이니만큼 영어논문을 선호합니다만 프랑스어와 한국어 등 8개 공식언어 중 하나로 쓰신 논문이면 됩니다. 언어에 따른 세션들을 마련하려 합니다. 그리고 만일 시간이 부족하다면, 2월 15일까지 초록만 제출하고 4월 정도까지 논문을 보내주시는 것도 가능함을 참고로 알려 드립니다 .
