Scope: Journal of Apiculture (ISO abbreviation as J. Apic. Shortly JA) was renamed after the Korean Journal of Apiculture in 2011, but inherits the volume and page number, which was originally published from 1986. The journal is the official scientific journal of the Asian Apicultural Association (AAA) published by the Apicultural Society of Korea (ASK). It is published quarterly per year (April 30, June 30, September 30, and November 30). The journal aims to bring together basic and applied research papers on honeybee and related hymenopteran insects, honey and bee-products, and pollination. The scope encompasses from Apiculture to agriculture, forestry, food science, medical and veterinary importance. Articles considered for publication include original research paper, mini-reviews, short communications, technical reports, invited articles and current topics. Details can be found http://journal.bee.or.kr Total or parts of the articles are abstracted and cited by DOI/Crossref, RISS, Google Scholar, DBpia, Publon and KCI. The Journal follows an open access policy with xml.
Submission, Review and Publication process: The manuscript submitted with “Submission checklist and copyright transfer form” to the journal (journal_apiculture@naver.com), will be systematically reviewed by the journal’s reviewing policy. Manuscripts out of the scope or standards for publication can be immediately returned to the authors, without further review process. The Journal follows ethical guideline (COPE). After review process from more than 2 reviewers, decision for further process can be made by the editorial board. Any ethical violation such as plagiarism is regularly checked and could result in prohibition to scientific activity. Publication can be checked from the Journal homepage (http://journal.bee.or.kr).

Manuscripts which are timely and concisely presented in full length will be given preference. Except for the cover letter, it must be written on A4 paper, word-processed, doulble-spaced (including tables, references, and legends for figures), and with 1-inch margins. The manuscript will be composed in the following order.

Authorship can be given to whom satisfying the following conditions; substantial contribution to the conception or design of the work, acquisition or analysis, interpretation of data, drafting or reviewing writing, approval of submission, and, agreement on the responsibility of the manuscript. In addition, running title should be written at the bottom of the title page when the article title is composed of more than 10 words. Resubmitted and revised manuscripts should include the manuscript-numbers (ex; JA 2007-22), which were given to authors when manuscripts had been submitted, at the top of their title pages.

Abstract should contain the background, objectives, method, main findings and implementation in order. Abbreviation and references should be avoided. After the abstract, a list of up to 6 keywords should be included.
Introduction: The introduction should supply sufficient background information, significances and aims of studies to allow the reader to understand and evaluate the results of the study. Use only those references required to provide the most salient background rather than an extensive review of the topic. Significances and aims of studies, however, should be as concise as possible.
Materials and Methods: The Materials and Methods section should include sufficient technical information to allow the experiments to be repeated. Give enough information about the maker and model of instrument, operating conditions and other details of the experimental procedures. For commonly used materials and methods, simple descriptions and references are sufficient. Information about uncommon reagents and chemicals should also be described about their names and manufacturers. Describe new methods or techniques in detail with their references.
Results and Discussion: The Results and the discussion can be separate. Results should be described concisely and sufficiently detailed. If section of results is divided from section of discussion, extensive interpretation of the results should be reserved for the discussion section. Present the results as concisely as possible in one of the followings: text, table (s), or figure (s). Tables and figures should be selected and presented to describe exact results of experiments. Legends for tables and figures should be detailed for easy understanding of readers and be independently written from contents of text. All figures and tables be numbered in order and be sure to cite in the text. We ask high resolution (eg. 300 dpi) of photo or image for better visibility of the readers The Discussion section should provide an interpretation of the results in relation to previously published works and should not contain extensive repetition of the Results section or reiteration of the Introduction.
Acknowledgements: As needed, authors may express their acknowledgement regarding advice, research funds or other matters. Literature cited: This section should include all journal articles, books, patents, and those cited in the text, tables or figures. Arrange the citations in alphabetical order based on the first author’s name.
